that's something i havent heard in a long time. i should mention that i was using linux on laptops, and when i said 'switched' i meant on my desktop. i couldn't do what you did though. i was debating on switching my desktop to linux mint in 2013/2014 but never did. i dabbled it with old laptops and left it there.
