there's a few standalone calculators like for R2 but no overall one, would be nice. Then again even the pricing on the marketing page for workers was outdated for a while lol

I like building cool things at CF and using it for mvps, but hard with D1 not being recommended for prod traffic/still being worked onand more strict smart placement to use it for everything. I just fallback to the tried and true stack of postgres + clickhouse + asp.net core. CF is heavily on postgres/ch too.
You can always benefit from CF in other ways like using Workers to glue stuff together, proxy, etc

Honestly if pricing becomes an issue I'll just host a rust backend on a VPS with postgres and redis on there as well, and hook it up to CF pages

Yeah I'm really really contemplated on Cloud VS VPS, like I've been asking for advice and thinking about it for weeks.

Using a VPS is simply cheaper, but 100x harder to properly set up, scale, ensure uptime, maintain, etc.

Cloud ensures speed, easy scalability, and it abstracts a lot of maintenance stuff, but the pricing is way higher

But if all goes well I think my app will be a net profit from being fully cloud hosted with the pricing model I plan to implement
