Hello

When I attach a subdomain to R2 proxied and use it as a file storage, won't the download speed become slow?
I am currently using cloudflare to proxy the public URLs of backblaze and idrive and use them for storage on a file download website, but the download speed becomes very slow when there are many accesses.
So I'm thinking of moving all files to R2, but I'd like to know if a similar problem occurs with R2 proxied.

If you're offering public files for users to download, attaching a domain to R2 will make it a lot faster, you get to use the full Cloudflare CDN/proxy

That's what I tried at first without succes, which made me expect it would only work when requests came from a CF ip but probably DNS needed some time to update after I created my bucket?

hi guys, i have a small issue with a website that i tried to serve files for, via r2 / s3 bucket, i had some issues, and i deleted the bucket, but before i removed the domain from the allowed domains, and now i am unable to load the domain, i get DNS _PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN when i try to load the page

nevermind, found the problem, it seems that when i removed the bucket , it deleted the A record for that subdomain used for bucket.

Hello, I’m loving R2 and its pricing model. I have a question: I made a cloudflare account with my personal email, and my project has turned into a small business. I want to move my account to my business email cloudflare account. I linked the accounts and am an owner of the r2 “project” (not sure what they’re called not really projects sorry). But I have to access it by logging in with the new email and then clicking into my old email which the new email have access to. I want to totally remove the access from the old email and only access via the new email. Is this possible? Thanks!

The account name being an email address is just the default, you can change it something more descriptive: https://developers.cloudflare.com/fundamentals/setup/account/customize-account/account-name/
And if the new email is a Super Admin you can revoke access from the old email

Thank you! However when i click R2 from my new account dashboard it shows an uninitialised R2 product. It’s only when i go into the old account via the dashboard home page (i can see both accounts there when I log into the new account) that I see the r2. Anyway to transfer? I tried contacting support but I think they thought I was trying to transfer a domain which I don’t think this is.

alternatively, you can use a worker, but you'd be paying worker invocation/request for every incoming request, cached or not

Kkian There’s caching of the API creds for 60s iirc so it might be a little faster

is that caching done where the R2 bucket is stored, or at the edge of wherever the request is coming from?

If I'm signing files from multiple buckets from the same Worker, it makes sense to use the exact same R2 token for all signatures, right? (Since the API credentials would be cached for everything beyond the first request.)
