I have a question
B

•

Do have a question too
, would bazzite 40 land on testing or unstable first
?
E
Ellis
•
3/27/24, 4:07 PM
How achievable is it to make a Bazzite desktop version with all of the Intel OneAPI drivers and shit overlayed or preinstalled
E
Ellis
•
3/27/24, 4:07 PM
Or is it still better to rely on distrobox Ubuntu for this
E
Ellis
•
3/27/24, 4:08 PM
On my current Kinoite install I have Blender flatpak fully working with OneAPI by overlaying all of the Intel OneAPI shit
E
Ellis
•
3/27/24, 4:08 PM
But I don
’t think this is the best way to go about it
E

Blender is just a way for me to test so I make sure it works with PyTorch and TensorFlow

Theoretically anything you
’d use CUDA or OptiX for
E

In practice not that much since it
’s not as widely adopted

Intel has released a specific library for PyTorch which requires the system to come installed with the Intel compute runtime and some other shit
E
Ellis
•
3/27/24, 4:11 PM
Since PyTorch by itself does not support it yet

3/27/24, 4:12 PM
And video editing that just relies on existing Intel VAAPI and QSV shit
