Belting intentionally oversized pants?
Under what conditions does something like this work well, if ever? Can it work with a variety of styles or would you have to be going for something fairly specific like a city boy look? What makes it seem intentional rather than giving a hand-me-down vibe?

Look through some of art's posts, he does this pretty often
I think the same things that make every good outfit work apply, proportions and the relationship between the pieces
How does everything contribute to communicating a clear vision
raises hand
these are all the same pair of oversized prl andrews; like bishop said it's about how the pants work with the outfit as a whole
These are suit pants that were a full 10-12 inches too big for me
These look great, and I hate to always ask this, but how tall are you guys, and do you think this is considerably harder to pull off if you’re short?
I’m 5 9 and no I don’t
Look for fits from coltar in waywt
She’s short and rocks wide pleated pants all the time and it looks great
Thanks, I’m also guessing a lot of the japanese guys doing this like in the pic I attached are my height (5’7”) or shorter, but at the same time they are doing a lot more with their fits in general
I’ll check those out, also was going to ask about pleats, I’m assuming it’s pretty essential
Not necessarily essential but I think it helps them hang well
What about fabric, does it have to be more billowy or can it be stiffer? I was looking at some andrew cords
just reading this now, i'm also 5'9 and i don't think height factors as much as how the pants sit

thanks, speaking of spring, do you think the brown cords would be too hot to wear for much longer? are they really thick?
heavier than your average cotton chino, seemingly not as heavy as comparable cords
there are different makes of andrew cords as well, the 100% cotton ones feel lighter than those with poly mixed in (at least to me ig)
