Dfigured out my screen flickering issues on the steam deck dock, it doesnt do well in 1440p
D2160p and 1080p is just fine, is this a known issue with the dock?
D2160@60 and 1080p@120 is fine, 1440@60 and 1440@144 results in an unstable image
Dthis was also after trying 3 different cables, one of which was a brand new one (anker brand), and spare docks i had lying around
BI have a Loki Max and I just slept it before leaving to run an errand. I'll see if I have Wi-Fi when I get back and wake it.
BWhat were the conditions? I just came back and woke my Loki Max from sleep. It had been sleeping for about an hour and I set it to balance power save profile before leaving. It connected to my wifi immediately. It was connected to a power source the entire time and in game mode with a game running.
F@bramadeusbrozart I probably left it slept for 3 hours and it came back on not being able to connect. Wifi symbol just kept trying to search
FI was playing a game closed the game and then slept it
FRestart fixes the issue for me

F@bramadeusbrozart Not connected to power, just slept and walked away. I also have enable CPU controls unchecked and I'm using the fix steam hardware controls setting checked and I'm setting the Tdp through the steam performance tab
BInteresting. I also use the fix steam hardware controls but I definitely have the CPU controls enabled. The power profiles make a difference from what I have experienced.
BDo you have the setting enabled to temporarily hit max TDP when waking from sleep? I do not have that enabled.

BNo problem. If it's still happening try the fix Aru mentioned above and see if it keeps happening. I will let mine sleep few a few hours not on external power tomorrow and see if I can duplicate it.

Tsystem76 scheduler replaces feral gamemode. if you want it back really bad you can layer two packages but i forget off hand. check the issue tracker or search here im about to pass out sorry
Dnah, I just switched to arch on my pc (nothing against bazzite, just wanted to try plasma 6), and was wondering if I should still bother getting gamemode on this system, knowing you guys removed it
KThere's some weird bug on sunshine right now where it won't verify the pin.
KSo was looking for alternatives. Trying to layer tigervnc doesn't work sadly. The service seems to hang.
DI'd recommend using the rdp protocol over vnc, but I dont know which servers are good

Cthink i have realized why rpm-ostree reset makes my system unbootable, issue seems to be from uninstalling akmod nvidia driver, think i needa ensure system goes back to using noveau before reboot
MHm, let me check the sunshine server. I think I saw someone report something similar on their official f39 rpm as well so it may be a general regression.
Moh someone had a similar issue on Nobara on 3/21 and it was a firewall issue. I can check on my setup when I get back home.
Mhmm, let me try an updated build for sunshine and then if that still doesn’t work I can try and roll it back to version 0.22.0. I’m not sure what is causing issues though, maybe it’s just a bad build.
Mthe good news is I’m walking the main sunshine dev through copr next week so once that happens we can switch over to the official version, which also means people should have an easier time getting support

Last night, I pressed the power button to let my rog ally suspend at 98% battery. This morning I wake it up and the battery is 88%.
Is that normal? 10% for 8 hours in the standby mode? I closed all games. Just in steamos.

ESeems slightly more than my Loki and even more than my laptop. Sounds about right for the battery size and chip tho
EMy Loki got over 10 hours time about 8% battery usage iirc
EAnd my laptop gets about 7% battery usage between 17:30 and 9:30 the next day
ELaptop is hard to compare against though
AYes actually for the ally it's really good
