CPU low ghz rate with DH
Usually I'm getting 3.7 ghz+ while playing any games but eith DH installed it drops down to 2.0 - 2.3 ghz. Any ideas what can cause it?
My System:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800H
32gb RAM
RTX 3070

Either thermal trottling or the CPU doesnt need to be used so much so its clocked down
DH cant decide how high your CPU gets clocked
My cpu drops frequency but I'm assuming that's because DH is pegging it 100% on just about all it's 8 cores. All cores running means lower clock speeds basically. That's my theory anyway.
Hmm, DH's using only 20-30% of my CPU even on the highest setting, and vanilla uses like 70-80%

Laptops do not have appropriate cooling ever
manufacturers put so big CPUs to make usage feel responsive, as normal usage needs short bursts of calculations.
DH load profile however is closer to those benchmark tools
@Vito are you looking at task maanger or some other tool? there is no reason for usage to drop with DH, unless your tool somehow also calculates thermal throttling into CPU usage %

And yeah, because of that problem it's almost impossible to play with the mod cuz of lag spikes every 5 seconds

I tried higher amount, but it adds more crashes
You can use the Java arguments to change the GC behavior to remove the constant lag spikes but doing that might lower fps on average by a few percent.
your cpu is prob overheating
or it has set max temp
and won't go over it so it's lowering the cpu speed
my cpu after 2 long hours still is doing on 3.5Ghz
never had that in any game, only in minecraft with DH. I'm running Cyberpunk 2077 Ultra Settings with 0 issues
Minecraft with DH will utilize your cpu more than cyberpunk
You should just download a monitoring software like hwinfo to see for sure
and is your cpu non-stop working 100% in cyberpunk?

on speccy i have temp only for my GPU somehow(
