This makes me want to ask, have any of you changed the trim button on the TM F18 grip for an Otto Controls one? If so, how hard was it and is it worth the hassle?

Thoughts on mounting the Rhino to the chair vs the desk? In the context of no fixed cockpit setup, both options would be removable for home office work.

I fear it will be too heavy for center-chair-mount, more so for swapping out rather than durability.

There's an old forum post floating around of someone who did. The center depress won't work unless you sacrifice another button somewhere, and you have to widen the mounting hole and jury rig it a lot

The trim is a 4 way on the hornet, it's a 5 way on the Eagle, and the switch itself is from Otto is a 5 way

Has anybody modified their rhino base to give freedom of movement along all four corners? I have noticed that my rhino has pretty restricted movement in each corner, making simultaneous full elevator and aileron deflection impossible

You might want to limit the throw of the axis via software if that bothers you

You can use axis scaling feature at something like 90-95%

hey m8 this might not be the best solution but it may get you through in the mean time; try a large piece of plywood on the floor under your pit, have 4 holes drilled in it & use some bolts to mount the Rhino to it. This would depend on being able to remove/move the horizontal support bar in front of the seat.

Yeah I was thinking of floor mounting it like that. Though it will sit too low, even with a 200mm extension, so I'd have to raise it up some.

get a long bit of ply flooring & cut the extra length off the end then cut into Rhino base sized bits & use wood glue to create a stack under the Rhino base, this will get you going until you find a better solution
