Best way to transfer large data between storage devices
Hi im getting a new storrage device i want to transfer my personal folder to thats like 600-700GB, whats the best way to do this? just copy and paste the folder or smth else? just wanna make sure i do it correctly.

What do you mean by personal folder

Do you mean your user Downloads / Documents / Photos / Videos folders?
no its just my main folder that i mace that has all my video clips, photos, save files, songs, minecradt worlds frim the last 10 years, aton of mc mods, just all my shit in it
im not worried abt any directories getting messed up
I mean if it's just a folder with files then copy + paste should be fine anough
If you have any apps installed there then that's a different issue
But just copying the files somewhere else (two separate drives to be sure you don't accidentally lose a copy or something) should be fine
For future reference, "main folder" means nothing. Unless you're talking about something like your Windows user folder (
C:\Users\YourUsernameHere) or something like your entire C drive, there is no "main folder" for a whole systemokay i just wasnt sure since its so large
Size has no bearing on it having issues with copying
All it means is that it'll take longer to move around
