Any @MCU, MPU & Firmware devs have experience debugging Cortex-M4F? @ddmiller3 needs some help figuring out why he can’t write to flash. He’s using a JLink probe to debug.
Hi everyone, Working on a project involving DC current measurement (up to 5A), I tested the ACS712 current sensor but the result is not stable. I have a variation of +/- 500mA. I’m not specifically looking for precision but rather measurement stability. Is there a more stable alternative? I thought about using a 1mohm shunt coupled with an op-amp like the LMV358. What do you think?
Hi All, this is Stuart, the "Electronics Reporter". I'm an electronics engineer and currently spend some time working for the trade press (like Elektor) looking at new products and technologies and interviewing engineers.
you can use simulator like TINA-TI with say a programmable gain amplifier (ex: PGA849) and try to tune it. even filter frequency you can evaluate there once you decide what is your frequency of interest and choose a type of filter(lowpass, bandpass).
sensor/detector --> pass filter(pick desired freq band) --> more filter stages? --> Amplifier(programmable gain if your reception response is dynamic) --> sampling with ADC
