Nevermind, found the service file. It's under /usr/lib so I can't touch it - I guess I'm supposed to disable the service and make my own copy if I need to change soemthing

Update to everyone who helped, I successfully reverted to a snapshot from last month and the built in controller on the Loki Max and all USB peripherals are now functional again.

Huh. I'm going to have to dig into some of the discord setup tomorrow. Everything worked well for my pathfinder session except turning on my webcam in discord caused the whole system to lock up for a second. That's new.

Could the issue with the built in controller on the Loki Max have been related to the fact that it's emulating a dual sense controller? I'm trying to wrap my head around why an issue that impacted USB peripherals would also disable a built in controller on a handheld.

Your Loki Max controller could be connecting to USB behind the scenes. If it has to do with USB. Just because the device isn't connecting to a USB port doesn't mean it isn't a device connecting to the Universal Serial Bus directly on the system board.
