niklas might be asleep by now, but on the topic of aurora: https://hackmd.io/REuLzBQ_QCqnuNUM0z78uQ i took your "introduction to bluefin" and changed it up a little to match aurora/kde and had niklas edit it up. he told me he plans to post this intro doc around the same time as general release
yea, with the freshness of plasma6 imo leaving a beta tag on it for the cycle won't hurt. Apparently people are still surprised that this is all beta already, and while I'd take any pepsi challenge with it as far as KDE desktops goes, a full cycle of feedback and things never hurt anybody.
Yeah, Aurora got pulled in only two weeks ago and I think there are still several things we need to paper over (ksshaskpass acting up, F40 being Wayland only)
I would also like to get some more opinions into our default. Breeze will always ship with the desktop so if a user wants stock vanilla it's there.
@Crush has had some killer looking setups and I would love if people have some insights on what Plasma can do that we would like to highlight
@j0rge New CloudFlare R2 storage tier which is more suited for backups. Only good if these backups are not publicly accessible (i.e. you copy them over when we need to restore)
indicatif is a library for Rust that helps you build command line interfaces that report progress to users. It comes with various tools and utilities for formatting anything that indicates progress.
ok I'm yeeting "move to official fedora images" to the backlog and I think we should just roll with timothee's setup for the forseeable future and just avoid a bunch of pain
Sure. Only concern would be any differences between the offical and unofficial images, but that can be an issue for another day. Has there been more information on the official images? Or nothing, and that's the problem?
