@Okpara Elvis @Maria BENMAMMAR @ahmeddrioueche Hi, welcome to the community! We'd love to hear more about you. Could you introduce yourself and share your profession with us?
I was actually just looking for an embedded engineer yesterday at on upwork. It works but I assume you hey the top rated pros are actually consultancies and customers don’t usually get further than the first few. Probably hard to break in. Start with a niche and expand?
That’s awesome! You can put in #projects-and-self-promotion if you’re just wanting to share that you did it or the #mcu-mpu-and-firmware forum if you have a discussion topic.
I dont know the field of embedded is very different skills i have are always different that what customer wants It cannot be like oh i am a graphics designer or web designer where you do almost same work for everyone Btw you can hire me i am jobless right now
That’s why I think some of the top freelancers on upwork for example are probably consultancies. They list a super broad range of skills across many architectures.
That’s why I say pick something niche to start (if you have a super niche skill you can market). Then gain some visibility in the platform and start adding in your more general skills.
Well i can do bare metal c c++ also python as well But those dont put food on table Designed few pcb as well but people already are fighting over pcb design I have given up on freelance market and hate it almost I was rated level two on fiverr until a bad customer gave very bad review and fiverr algo punished me very very hard and profile went down ever since

Starting out with FPGAs is daunting. And that's just the fundamental concepts of hardware description languages (HDLs). What about when you're tasked with using an FPGA for what it was designed for? Something like creating a hardware interface in FPGA fabric where one didn't exist before?
With great power comes great responsibility, and DevHead...
