sorta frankly it's not as good when it comes to desktop apps or full on server deployments (canonical touting it as an alternative to docker/podman is silly)
Hey all, I'm planning on migrating my primary PC to Bazzite from Nobara later tonight. (Nothing against Nobara, I love the distro and GE.) I'm already using Bazzite as my daily driver on my framework for a good bit now and I love it. (rpm-ostree is a tad slow but it's the price we pay for the approach)
Anyways, to get to my point.. Nobara I believe splits it's mesa packabges into two pieces, one for primary which is the latest stable and then the vulkan piece which is further ahead. This is nice because it includes a ton of fixes or performance enhancements without affecting the main stability of the system. I was wondering if Bazzite would ever consider this approach or add it as an optional option for installs? It's not a make or break but it is nice for games like Alan Wake 2 that had some issues with textures not loading and needing a bleeding edge-ish vulkan mesa. If none of this makes sense, you can disregard, but I wanted to check as I have a crazy amount of respect for this project and I am VERY much onboard with the stability and redundancy that this framework provides.
@Kyle Gospo thanks! Again, regardless of your answer. I still love the project and plan to support/use it for the foreseeable future. I just have a vested interest in it even more now that I am planning to use it on my main rig as well.
