Did a fresh install of bazzite on rog ally and controller was working fine until a restart now steam picks it up as a Xbox 360 instead of dualsense ps5 anyway to fix ?

go to hhd.dev grab token and there you can configure controlller back to PS-dualsense in the options

I experience this a lot since the F40 upgrade, rolling back to the 39 image is fortunately possible and no freezing at all.
This is on stable/main btw and even freezes before logging in, so it does not seem to be an app or service. My son has a very clean separate account and it is even worse for him than for me (where all kinds of things autostart and alpha stuff I fiddle with).

What logs can I check to see what causes the freezing issue? I guess it would be a gnome shell issue.
(want to get to some logs before raising an issue)

Edit: Desktop image with Gnome on a AMD cpu (5800X3D) and GPU (6950XT), so not an existing nvidia or KDE freezing issue.

I was wondering what if bazzite deck is the issue here. I mean with my Blender problem. I recently tried to run the tar versions because I heard that's how they managed to fix this on fedora, but no luck.

The tar is portable, that means you need its dependencies installed and it's up to you to know which ones those are

Here's a quick life hack if you don't care about the drive space use, make a fedora distrobox and install blender
