Like I'm an experienced Linux user and even then Anaconda's partitioning tool gives me the fucking heebie jeebies whenever I use it because I'm never QUITE 100% sure I've got it right even after checking it multiple times over lmfao
Anaconda team is looking for feedback for the future change proposal about the new web UI partitioning solution. This is reaction on Issue #3169: Weigh in on installer storage setup issue - fesco - Pagure.io which is FESCO decision resulted in postponing the web UI from Fedora 40. Unfortunately, the ticket is missing requirements for having the ...
i wonder when KDE devs plan on addressing this, it just happened to me and went to go look for a solution. Basically gamepad input does not always inhibit sleep timers in KDE, this has been opened for a decade now https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328987
Yeah confirmed just means that they have confirmed that the issue is real. If it was assigned, then it would mean that they actually have someone assigned to fix. Since it's been an issue for a decade, I doubt it.
im wondering if i can just do this myself, there's probably a way to enable/disable power savings through a script, would need some way to make it engage on system events, but that sounds like yet another side project idk if i have time for atm
i have a monitor similar to this one, is the one you linked mini IPS? if so then its identical to mine. The only thing i find odd are the blacks, there's light bleeding that makes the screen look odd when HDR is enabled. Gotta set brightness back to 45% to help with the light bleed
I read in older messages here that it happens if akmods aren't built yet, but the virtualbox module isn't in the ublue akmods so I don't really understand
I've noticed an issue on the nvidia bazzite desktop, if my laptop is left on for a while, the wifi will stay connected, but be very slow. i.e. uploading files to my printer takes a very long time. If I restart NetworkManager all speeds go back to normal
in a nutshell, the way how the tech behind bazzite works (to the best of my knowledge) makes it inflexible to dynamically load kernel modules like in other distros, so no DKMS, the only way to get kernel modules into bazzite is via akmods.
My understanding is if you have a module in akmods, the next version of bazzite to be released will include it, and you can then enable it.
there's a git project for the akmods that bazzite consumes, i'll need to dig for it and find it, you can either contribute to it, or open an issue and maybe ask if someone can add it on your behalf
okay finally got around to playing around with HDR on desktop, and i can't get it to work, i can enable it but the colors look weird. Using Proton-GE 9.4 with on overwatch 2
adding to the env vars makes it not boot, anybody got any tips?
Bazzite Linux 3.0 has officially launched, bringing with it Gnome 46, KDE Plasma 6, as well as improved HDR gaming on the Steam Deck OLED and more features for more handhelds, including the Lenovo Legion Go, Asus ROG Ally, and two Ayn handhelds.
