WIf you boot from a live distro it will probably show in the list of partitions that you can mount

AEssentially the deployment command fails and exits -1
AAnd the trash fedora installer eats the error

LI am not wiping anything, I am just trying to install bazzite, will dual boot alongside windows
AYou need an efi partition, a boot partition, and a btrfs partition with 3 volumes
AUse a separate efi partition for bazzite
AAll of it is covered in the dual boot guide

WWhen you boot from a live distro, you should be able to mount the efi partition from from within the file manager. You can also mount it via the "disks" utility in gnome if you cannot see it
LOk got it, should I just use bazzite for this?
WUnfortunately Bazzite and other atomic desktops don't have a live cd. So you might be able to do it via tty in the Bazzite installer but I find gui's a bit easier
LOk so which gui do you suggest? I am currently booted with gparted live iso, will that work?

LGood news @wolfyreload @antheas deleting the fedora folder from the efi partition did the trick, however, I'm not sure whether I am well off using the same efi partition as windows because I've heard that sometimes the windows update deletes other OSs from the efi

AWhereas the os of most PCs will always detect the default entry of an efi partition
AI made the mistake of using a single efi partition and I'm paying for it with every bios update
