Discord Bot

You may or may not be aware of it, but we there is a bot running on this discord. I originally created it to help keeping track of our projects but its scope is growing as time goes by, now providing a lot of support features for the on boarding team.
I will soon be looking for developers to help me maintaining and improving the code base.

The name is just for display in the message, internally it's all username/user id, do you want to switch in the display?

Cool idea but maybe add a checkbox for this to the forms? Publishing something in a way that isn’t easily reversible as an unknown side effect seems bad

Yeah I disagree, I wouldn't want to be in that channel and it also seems bad that outside people can exactly track how many emails have been sent

Does the bot currently know when the onboarding process is completed? There doesn't seem to be a stage for that https://github.com/PauseAI/ProjectBot/issues/9

The wants-to-help role is removed when the onboarding starts (after the emoji is set), but this should happen after the onboarding has completed.
