Esp8266 is a good module, though esp32 is a upgraded version Pinouts are easily accessible on web, you can refer from that Regarding the speed, it only uses wifi so should be fine if you are working on a small prototype or something. But if you want to implement you have to test it with better modules Esp8266 are essentially made for prototyping and in very few cases it is used properly in a product. Also they tend to heat up after some use or some boards tend to fry, if not used correctly so make sure that you check the documentation once to be sure And keep some extra esps

Hello have a nice weekend guys , Has anyone ever worked with programming a Bluetooth module? I would like the Arduino to calculate the distance between the Bluetooth module it powers and a nearby phone . Thanks
Hi @Camila_99$$ check with Bluetooth5.1 compatible chip that allow distance and direction finding through AOA (Angle of Arrival) and AOD (Angle of Departure). I think the Nordic has some SoCs with example codes and documentation.
RSSI is the signal strength at the Bluetooth receiver. The signal type, for example, iBeacon, Eddystone or sensor beacon is irrelevant. The value of the RSSI can be used to infer distance.
I am sure many people are working on the BLE technology and even on the projects like Indoor Location Positioning, distance approximation from the RSSI value of the BLE beacon. This Article is shor…
Can anyone help explain the step-wise procedure for sending data using the CAN protocol?
I'm working on Project Where we are Calculating the Distance using Ultrasonic sensor and wanted to send the data using CAN Protocol ,
I'm Using Controller Board STM32F407 DISCOVERY BOARD 1 , I'm Using the CAN Module for Communication, Module : CAN transceiver SN65HVD230 1) I wanted to send data using can Protocol , Can any one explain in detail and Step wise procedure for send the data over CAN ?
2) Suppose There are Multiple Sensor are Connected to CAN bus, Multiple Sensors Sending Data, Through The CAN , to The microcontroller how to read data of a Perticular Sensor, throughout the CAN ,and use that data in other task , explain step wise process?
1) You can use the APIs provided by ST for this https://controllerstech.com/can-protocol-in-stm32/(more detailed than I could explain - so this link) 2) The data from each node is distinguished by an identifier. It can be 11 or 29 bits based on the version of CAN you use.

Hey people, happy to be here. Software Dev making the full transition to firmware for the last couple of years. Mostly geeking out about baremetal STM32. Wicked to meet you all.
Hi ZacckOsiemo. Funny @Umesh Lokhande and I were just talking about Baremetal firmware on STM32 last night. Welcome! Hopefully we can get to know you better on Office Hours this Friday
Hey @DannyB, you said you needed some help with Yocto. We have an embedded software chat here called #coders-only-chat. If you can put your question in there or in the #middleware-and-os forum, some of our devs like @Rémi and @abhishek awasthi (buildroot) can help.
No way. Where are you located? Can you share the company? I actually work with BeagleBoard.org to find people working with their tech and create content about their projects
We are based in Kenya but operate in the whole of East Africa. Not sure I can share the other details before I have a chat with my employer. I'm sure you understand.
