FI'm intending to make this my main OS for gaming, and I'm getting surprisingly better performance.
Knvidia is still pretty behind in linux support, though not as bad as it used to be
Pyeah theoretically there isn't a huge performance gap between x or wayland for nvidia cards either
Pthey just don't sync right and need a bunch of ugly hacks to work under wayland atm

Pas far as performance between the linux/windows drivers, you'll have more performance gains on linux just from reduced CPU overhead
Pthe actual difference between driver perf on either OS is generally only noticeable if you're playing some hot new game that had a quick driver hack rolled out to fix it on windows
Peventually, dxvk and vkd3d always end up on-par

Pthis will disable desktop effects like transparency etc. but should fix quite a few games that stutter
Palso disable "slow hdd mode" in cyberpunk settings if you have it turned on, it's a total prank last i checked
Pmine was on for some reason and all it did was make every car on the highway brake check me when i came within 1m of it

FSo it worked very well for cp2077 but BG3 although it is not stuttering anymore, the rendering is quite slow.

Pfor BG3 you can use an overlay to make sure it's running on the correct GPU
