platform driver controls the temperature limit, fan speed & CPU frequency limit
but this one highly depends on specific configurations like laptops

while on desktops, you can change basically everything, including the chasis/case,
which makes it not reliable to implement platform driver on desktops

We have no DNF command in atomic distros instead, we use rpm-ostree install/uninstall

Will it ever be possible to have TDP controls work for dGPUs in the Wayland game mode session? I was pulling like 80w to play an indie game the other day on my 6950xt and was really wishing I wasn't wasting so much energy. Not even sure if the card can go lower than that, but would love to be able to drive clocks or TDP down to minimums in those cases.
