Date.now()

Date.now()

only changes on I/O, so if theres something behind using heavy CPU doing a Date.now() -> fetch -> Date.now() would not only track the fetch time.

It probably is just routing though. My friend had a similar issue with fly where it would normally take like 30-40ms then it was taking 300-400ms.

BGP is absolutely wack. Even more so when you realize the fact that Cloudflare can assign an IP geolocated to one side of the planet to a machine sitting on the other side of the planet

possible your ISP just had a fluke for a second with routing. If you're checking off the Cf-Ray that should be your input colo, but just to double check, you don't have smart placement on that worker right?
