5Did the minisforum fill the void?
WI'm usually fine with the normal Ubuntu upgrades but jumping to a new release.... um yeah, reinstall is better. Where as Bazzite 39 to 40 upgrade had some issues but you could rollback and now 40 is fine

AIf you want an alternative. Lenovo X12 detachable is a solid Surface Pro + Intel alternative. You can find refurb for decent prices, intel i5 11th gen, works mostly ootb with Linux
WI had it on a server a few months back upgrading LTS versions. Fortunately it was just a matter of redeploying docker and up and running again
