It's normal that everything works well on your laptop because it's the Intel HD chip that manages the desktop, not the Nvidia chip, i think..

I also have an Alienware and I have no problem on Wayland with my Nvidia nor on the desktop, nor even in games. On the other hand, if I deactivate Optimus option in bios and switch to Nvidia Only, there is flickering on Discord, Steam, and a lot of games..

Is bazzite a good alternative to steam os if I want the newest kernel, newest mesa, and have the ability to install programs through a package manager and not worry that an update will wipe everything installed that way.

I was about to wipe my SD oled and install bazzite but apparently it's like borked for the oled and a fix is coming out soon.
