@uBlue Members In the project management thread, I saw folks were giving feedback about discord. I definitely agree there is room for improvement.
I had a couple of ideas already, but I wanted to get feedback on them:
Creating regularly scheduled events where we can come together as a community. Could we just use the default events option or is that not advanced enough for what we need?
Folks were talking about bots. We already have one for moderation, so that is covered. Are there other things you'd like to see that bots could improve?
I feel like the voice channels are a bit confusing. We have several duplicates like stage and tty. Do we just need to remove those?
There is a leftover kinoite channel in /var/home. Should we just delete that?
We have a single posting channel for bazzite-help. Do we think it would be helpful to have a separate one to field bluefin questions and guide folks to post there?
Would there be interest in hooking up the discord to Github to do chat ops?
remove "send message" perm from non-mods, send a final "archiving this channel because..." message, and move the channel to it's own category at the bottom of the list
Fedora's discord has a nice feature in their showcase that forces people to thread, so the root is just screenshots and each discussion is neatly threaded per screenshot, that'd be an awesome thing to set up
