@MeatSafeMurderer yeah I think Valve is all in on the SteamOS strategy and they think they can differentiate themselves from Windows and consoles with a superior user experience, as they did with Steam originally.

The volume part just works better than mapping a local folder as a folder in the container. Podman manages the permissions so you don't get weird errors. the volume data is stored here
