CTomcat pilots of Rhino land, what spring, damper, inertia, friction settings do you have? I had pretty good settings with light damper/onertia/friction for the Apache but it doesn’t seem quite right for the Tomcat around center
BI do love 3d printing, but boy do I hate 3d printing

BIt's the grip mount connector, usually its a 3d printed part, not an issue in an of itself, but one careless mishap switching grips and it becomes useless
Band you can print one if you have the tools, but yea, 3d printing is a pain at times

)BThe backordered one mentioned is an optional one out of aluminium, I'd say well worth the upgrade.
Balas mine is shipped as a letter mail, which seems to be as de-proritized now it takes 4 weeks where a package post takes three days.

TYes you need to be careful with the threads but honestly the thread size is deeeeep so it should be difficult to break.
I’ve only ever seen 1 break and 1 that got badly cross threaded by its owner.
Most folks it’s pretty much set it and forget it.
Like anything with moving parts it’s a good idea to check belt tension and pulley bolts every so often.
That’s life for anything under tension and especially under drive force.
Outside that I don’t see many issues with the Rhino it’s honestly been bullet proof the whole time I’ve been on the discord

TAnd I’ve seen the software update over and over and over so it’s honestly a great feeling to be a user because you just sit back and it gets better and better while you sleep.
TOh and I guess it also goes without saying if you can avoid “hot swapping” sticks that’s a great way to keep the threads working great!
I also suggested to someone previously to use a rubber O ring to take up the gap.
If your stick is scrwed all the way down but not locked.
For me the T50 locked down so no O ring needed and I just made sure it’s tight but not over tight.

NI think you're right, I use vkb rev.c so the adapter never comes off the base

TAlso I haven’t had a lot of flight and fight time on it because I’m always so busy so honestly I’ve kept it low down settings wise…

BI need to get my stick a bit closer to me for optimal comfort so got a z-extension, and was while fiddling with that, and it's naturally being very off balanced, ruined current grip mount.
NI wonder if it's possible to forgo the grip connector entirely if exclusively using vkb?

WIt was mine that was 'cross threaded' ... however, I was actually being careful not to do that. The extension has always been a bit difficult to install on the Virpil base as well. I can't put the blame totally on myself, Virpil or Walmis - it just is what it is.
WBut... still happened. Considering the construction of the Rhino everywhere other than the threads, I can say I'm very impressed. Itching to try it. Been staring at it on my desk for about 2 weeks. Hope that aluminum mount isn't on backorder for much longer. Feels like a cruel joke to wait for 6 months, only to sit and stare at it for another month

They can be surprisingly soft, even softer than wood so by the time you realise you are off, you are done past the point of no return a while ago.

3d printing is strong but when but when cut to an edge isn’t very “rigid” so you can’t feel if you go off the threads as much as you can with metal on metal.
It’s also something that’s just going to happen… There’s a thousand odd units out there so now we can start to see what might break or will break over time with a larger usage group.
Improve stuff and there ya go… That’s why I love the Rhino.
