Can anybody tell me what is needed to use a Virpil grip with the Rhino? I am in the process of building my Rhino base and would like to purchase a Virpil VPC Constellation Alpha or VPC Constellation ALPHA Prime to go with it. Is the Virpil just a plug and play add on? Do I need special thread adapters? Do I need special circuit boards?
16ex works for sure. I'm using it. I have actually even wondered if the vibration motor works too. I just don't know how to separate rhino and 16ex vibration motor to test it
Power supply question: What voltage should i set on my MeanWell LRS-350-24 using the adjustment? Lowest i can set it is 20.6V. Searching the discord i'm reading replies saying a 24V power supply is also fine. How does this affect the recommended Max PSU current setting of 7A? Can i turn it to 24V and get more forces before reaching max psu current?
Alright thanks! What is your max PSU current set to then using 22V? At 20.6V i reach 7A pretty easy, 24V/7A prevents the overload reduction of forces almost completely.
The DIY runs on 20v 9amp so you’re totally safe to run it anywhere around there.
The DIY has an initial set up video showing some steps in the first set up of the configurator where you set the software to “call” for the power you provided.
This is a first introduction of the Rhino FFB system that will be available soon for purchase as a DYI kit. This system will enable enthusiasts to build a plug-an-play FFB joysticks with custom mechanics. Contact me for details if interested.
Thanks for posting this link!! Somehow I missed it in my initial research. Useful information on the settings, though it’s a little out of date, it’s still a great resource.
