Well... Looks like I may have bricked my Dell Optiplex turning off CSM. Any tips on how to reset the bios?
RA quick google tells me that some optiplex can be have their bios reset by having a jumper inserted on 2 pins on the motherboard. And if that fails, pulling the cmos battery might also work.
WBesides any concern with speeds, would having a Steam library on a NAS using btrfs? I can't think of any reason why it would be an issue, but figured I'd ask first.
Rmounting using cifs with fstab would probably fastest, but it probablly still be slow as hell
PI'm getting display on the intel graphics. I'm so glad I had this spare VGA cable around. No need to reset the bios.

RI think sometimes the fedora distrobox, when it's being updated, because those files are socketed into the distrobox from the host filesystem as read-only, so when the fedora distrobox tries to update the package it can't overwrite some of the files

VA friend of mine will probably be trying it out soon. I've been sending him screenshots of dozens of games running on it
Vmy old "gaming" desktop was saved with Bazzite. earned some upgrades ...hopefully it will be up and running for another 10 years

Vhe's messed around with linux before but he's unsure and didn't know anyone else that used linux. It was kinda funny when he found out I use it (I've known him since high school for years) it was like he found a long lost cousin or something

Vtbh this is the first time I've been truly able to see what I cna do with linux. my 1050 non-ti wasn't cutting it. I got to upgrade to a 1650 gddr6 and bazzite has run everthing I've tried at 50 fps+
PGTA IV is the killer app
Pgame runs like doodoo ass under windows without installing a bunch of hacks on top
Pmy modest 3060/3600 build can max the game out at 4k with perfectly smooth frametime on linux
Pand on windows it struggles to keep pace
Pvery funny tbh, makes me wonder how well the game could have run at launch if it wasn't tied to a broken graphics API

Mthe best option from a reliability standpoint is probably the legion go, or at least in how easy it was to get Linux working on it from the beginning

CI had the original Ally and barely any issues w it aside from short battery life
Csold it and bought the OLED SD
Chorrible decision
Cthe OLED SD is going back after < 1 day of ownership
CI cannot use it for literally more than 5 minutes

Muntil someone tears one down or asus supplies exact specs with model names it’ll be hard to tell how they work without people with devices in hand first
