I found that it was easier to use the https://github.com/ublue-os/image-template as a starting point, if you want to add packages to an existing ublue image. You can also fork the bazzite project but you'll need to make quite a few edits in the build.yml workflow to get it to work in your fork
I did see there was a brief discussion on this discord previously about it but it didn't seem like any conclusions were drawn. Anyway I'm interested in what people think?

I think it would be a better fit for the dx bluefin/aurora images with Virtual Machine Manager pre-installed than Bazzite but might work for Bazzite when Bazzite DX is released.
