We need a script on bazzite called emergency nuke so if someone's computer gets infected with malware they can run the script and it will try and nuke the system
Yeah that's what I thought, unless it had admin privileges, I'd imagine it'd be contained to the folder it was installed to unless you have it access to other locations yourself
I will have to try again when I'm back home on the Steam Deck. It did not work when I last checked, unless there is some special order in which Discord and Discover Overlay must be started. I see that there is a config file to set certain environment variables for discover-overlaydiscover-overlay but that didn't seem to make it work on my GNOME installation.
That's how the Flatpak sandbox tends to work, though it's not that the binary is contained to its own folder, but the app only has access to its own data by default
It just occurred to me that I may have installed Discover Overlay from Flathub, or was a leftover from before I rebased from Silverblue. I'll check when I get home.
