CThere are very few known specimens of Linux malware in all seriousness, it should not be much of a concern

CWe need a script on bazzite called emergency nuke so if someone's computer gets infected with malware they can run the script and it will try and nuke the system

VYeah that's what I thought, unless it had admin privileges, I'd imagine it'd be contained to the folder it was installed to unless you have it access to other locations yourself
JI will have to try again when I'm back home on the Steam Deck. It did not work when I last checked, unless there is some special order in which Discord and Discover Overlay must be started. I see that there is a config file to set certain environment variables for
discover-overlay but that didn't seem to make it work on my GNOME installation.

WWith it being a read only filesystem it would only nuke your home folder and some stuff in etc. Would be an interesting experiment in a VM
