Had a friend encounter the issue before I did, haven't updated yet, but according to folks in this thread, disabling access to Wayland fixes it if an update hasn't been pushed yet

Cutting edge, it's more stable than say arch but more future-facing than something like Ubuntu. It's a good middle ground.

we highly recommend you reinstall and not rebase to swap DEs
