Pyou can also find full-sized PCI ones that are just an nvme card on a carrier board

Pthe issue with using full-size PCI is just it takes up so much extra space

Pand when i say full-size i don't mean the slot i mean the card. nvme and pcie are effectively the same interface, one's just miniaturized.
