I have a live input that will be receiving a stream for 4 hours; I don't want a 4 hour recording though, but rather 4 1-hour recordings.
How can I accomplish this without stopping and restarting my input stream every hour? (because if I stop and restart my stream it disrupts viewers)

Good to hear that it might just be me. We haven't made any code or infrastructure changes, so I can't think of anything immediately. The webhook goes to a small CF Worker function and the logs show the incoming call as GET. I PUT a new webhook record (with the same URL) in case that would fix it, but it behaves the same. Any other things to check?

Amazing thanks @mickiebetz ! Can i ask a couple more questions, was going through the docs and api and got confused:

When creating a live input, rtmps and rtmpsPlayback are essentially the same (in api docs, same stream key and url)?
To play a livestream I need the DASH or HLS urls, which are just the endpoints with the uid at the end correct (so https://customer<CODE>.cloudflarestream.com/<LIVE_UID>/manifest/video.m3u8 or .mpd)? So no need to send a get request once the livestream has started as the docs state?
For webRTC in the docs, you state that there are two variables, a secret for publishing and an input_uid for playing but in the API docs, the broadcasting and playback urls are the same except for the ending, either /public or /play. So the secret and the input_uid are the same?
Once the livestream has ended and it has been recorded (when it is ready), can I just treat it as a normal video so using the live_uid in the video endpoints (or does the recorded video get a different uid, different to that of the live_uid)?
And is there a web hook event for when a livestream recording is ready - is it the same as that for videos?

I just realized some more context would probably be useful.

From OBS I am streaming to Cloudflare to handle my multiple Outputs. Two are going to YouTube and one is going to a web streaming service via RTMP, those work great!

I am trying to stream to SRT to our local CBS news station, the stream decoder is a Teradek device. When streaming directly to the SRT link in OBS it works flawlessly! But using Cloudflare's SRT output, even though it says connected, nothing appears on the news station's decoder. I thought it was because Cloudflare couldn't allow custom parameters for the mode being set to "caller", maybe I'm wrong? A support document said Cloudflare is already in "caller" mode for SRT?

Any advice to get the SRT link working in CF would be amazing!

Coming back to question 4: Since the liveId and the videoID are different, would be great if the webhook event for a ready video would contain a liveInputId field (null if not a livestream). This way we wouldn't have to schedule a GET request to /live_inputs/<UID>/videos once the livestream has ended to get the videoId and its state (we're using our own player). Or even with the livestream_connected webhook event, would be great to have the videoId there (since it's actively recorded). Actually maybe this is already implemented, does the webhook event already include live_input?
