Wim reading throught the assembly manual from github right now, and in the beginning it mentions 20V DC power supply, when in the end it mentions a 24V one, which one is a better choice? I already have a 19.5V laptop power supply, would that work fine?
M24 is the better option these days.... you get more power on less amps which is a good thing. The 20vdc recommendation is a vestigial remnant from the beginning of the project when the caps or other components in the drives had lower ratings than they do these days

OWell I got someone to sort out the sim, and that VP Rhino is something special.
A bit more fiddling and I’ll have it just like my ikarus I’m learning in.
No more no feel touch and go’s, I’ve got a month to get my landings sorted before my lessons start again.

WThere are many different manufacturers, some spec the motor models with inverted numbering ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
WThe torque in manufacturer spec is for spinning applications. For holding torque it's best calculated
TqConst[Nm/A] * max_driver_current[A] = Tq[Nm], so on paper 57BLF03 achieves 1.98Nm @ 30A, it's a bit lower in reality

Pcurrent torque is enough for 3d printed housing, for higher torque need metal housing.
Preally higher torque is not needed for me.
VCompletely concur with your happiness moving up rapidly on the list - I just paid for mine! I would much rather invest in a proven product/software knowing I have Walmis's experience behind it vs. guessing about what is really coming from others and how it will meet the rigors of dogfighting. PI move from 8.5nm to 21nm on my Sim racing wheel base, (it is bit different story but anyway)

Pwhat really important is software that controll motors, and simulate effects through telemetry data. not a torque itself.
PMany Chinese late comers in sim racing market, they advertise there torque (peak torque) but there sense of driving, feeling is not that good for the torque, Feeling is not proportional to torque
