NHello, I recently installed Bazzite, it's really cool. However, I'm dealing with pretty lengthy boot times (~2 min). Are you guys seeing similar boot times? I did some digging in systemctl, looks like
dracut-pre-udev.service, NetworkManager-wait-online.service, and plymouth-quit-wait.service are the top three contributors. What could cause this?
Dboot up or down? while doing either, press escape to read the boot logs and see which one exactly is causing the hang
Dfor me it is slightly longer to boot up, but i don’t think it takes 2 min, that seems too long
TReally too long I just installed Bazzite and haven't had any slow downs like that using the Nvidia desktop image.
RJust a thought, shouldn't net.ipv4.tcp_low_latency=1 be set in sysctl.d? Since bazzite is a "gaming" distro, keeping networking at low latency would be preferable to throughput, right?

NNope, and I made sure secure boot was off. I do have an uninitialized hard disk, let me reformat it. I noticed there is a 600 MB efi partition in FAT format on my ssd. Is that normal? I let the bazzite installer handle the disk formatting when I moved from win11.

TI can't wait for Nvidia 560 driver. Isn't that supposed to fix a lot of the xwayland stuff like chrome for instance?
Hnm wait online is notorious for slowing down boot but most of your time seems to be spent just initializing drives?

Ssince Bazzite forced wayland, my mouse keeps getting stucked when moving it from one screen to another. Its just as the edges are somewhat sticky. I spent 2 hours in settings and found nothing. any help?
DFAT32 is the format for boot partitions btw, there’s nothing strange about that
Dsorry i’m an idiot, you may need to reimage to the desktop version, because if you’re booting into a black screen then there’s no way you can use the rollback helper
