KXbox works with the dongle, not bluetooth though.
KPresumably the 8bitdo would with the dongle too, but I haven't tested that one myself, I've lost my 8bitdo dongle somewhere in my house.

LFor the past several years Latte Dock has been a popular macOS-like 'dock' for the KDE Plasma desktop but development has now ceased.
LAnd no I don't know of any meaningful alternative, mostly because a lot of latte's features are slowly being incorporated into stock plasma
