Mit will always default to valve's version unless its a non-steam game you added, then it uses the override you selected
Mit works if you manually specify a proton version for a specific game but not globally

KBecause that's the one it will fall back to when a game doesn't have one defined

Cah makes sense, I tried something similar (No Man's Sky) but no HDR options even though desktop display settings allow turning HDR on
