LEh, I disagree, but that's to each there own. The layering would add some nice rollback if it breaks things, but as thisn't isn't a system binary I'm fin e with having to fix it if I break it.

VIt's going to be very similar. Most of the benefit comes from things like newer OS base and the ability to layer packages.

A@Kyle Gospo I also just to be safe want to trim the main SSD drive using "fstrim -v" but it states that discard option is not supported.
Kif your drive doesn't suppport discard then that's it

Back to my original problem. is my eGPU somwehow power limited because of whatever serivce/daemon HHD or something else limiting my eGPU to 30 watt?

It would be strange for a SSD to not support TRIM. I think I chose the incorrect partition. I used it on /var/home partition. Should I use it on /var partition?

SHeya. I'm new to bazzite and my Linux desktop knowledge is several years out of date (I'm more comfy on the shell these days). I'm about out of ideas so I figured I'd ask before I return to Windows for a few months while the bugs work themselves out.
I'm on bazzite-nvidia:stable, and the Explicit Sync bug is killing me with both Firefox and kwin crashing/freezing. Is there a method on Bazzite to override the Nvidia driver or KDE versions until the next Nvidia driver is released, hopefully fixing this?
