Pwhat argument is there to make on that if we're still wasting orders of magnitude more power running commodity hardware instead of purposefully designed systems
Pthey're not going to do the right thing and replace it with something built to last when it's easier to just partner with some company like lenovo that can shit out general purpose crap on demand

Pbeing serious i don't think you can aptly compare the security methodology of a commodore versus modern compute
Pthe whole reason those places are still using something like a commodore is because it meets their demands without playing to the whims of another industry at-large
Jreplacing my windows machines with TempleOS because it has no networking and thus a lesser attack surface

SAnyone use Bazzite/Linux in general with a KVM switch? Wondering if it's an issue specific to my setup, but after switching away from Bazzite and back, my display is stuck at 640x480 and system settings just calls the display "Nvidia"
JI don't use a KVM but if
kscreen-doctor -o shows all of your display modes afterwards it's probably scriptable to return it to a sane oneJthough it kinda sounds like that's not the case there, especially if you can't set it through the GUI system settings
SI'll have to check it out next time I'm in. I've unfortunately spent way more time just trying to get some basics cooperating than playing games. Thank you for the clue, though like you I'm not super hopeful.

Jgsync and a few freezes get sorted and I'm solid
SI actually had left it in a pretty good place - 4080 Super working around Explicit Sync for Firefox, got 1Password connected to Firefox with native messaging, and my game even running. Really hurt seeing the KVM just ruin the entire thing; that's kind of a major component of my setup for slacking off at work
