AI will mention 1 thing about this. Input plumber has conflicting functionality with steam input and can remap the controllers itself as well, which could cause confusion to users. Then, it also wraps every single controller in the system and in many cases (e.g., dualsense) currently disables advanced functionality such as gyro and leds
CHaving trouble finding it, but I'm sure you could just ask on the Gyro Gaming Discord if what I'm saying follows

CStrangely enough I saw that “steam is currently blocking sleep” message too once I looked at that menu, but given that my computer went to sleep while downloading I don’t think it’s working consistently. I also notice that that message appears and disappears quite randomly even while steam is downloading the same game

EI think this is more down to Proton and how the game interacts with it
Ecould try a higher or lower proton version or maybe try Proton GE if you install it with ProtonUp
