New guy here, just window shopping for a FFB base at the moment. And learning. Question: can you set / save a different FFB software "end stop" limit based on each aircraft you are flying? So I could have less full range of movement for a cold war jet, and more movement for a helicopter, for instance? Or does it have to be just a general setting in common for all aircraft?

1) hardware limiters are better than software so you might want to go for a generic option because of that
2) I kind of don't think you can currently, but
3) it sounds like it should be doable and TelemFFB could be made to support it (if it doesn't already)

I just recently completed a diy kit and I’ve just been removing and replacing limiters, it takes less than a min tops. Quick calibration and you’re off to the races!

telemFFB can do automatic configuration (.vpconf) loading based on aircraft, so yes

I mostly fly helos but just took the 16 and a10 for a spin and the stick is really loose in the center. Everything but friction is on 100% in the config, any ideas to tighten the center up?

The Rhino has mounting holes around its' base and presumably can be fastened to a plywood board or other surface. With the Moza AB9 it seems I would first need to source a mounting plate, find a way to fasten that plate to bottom of the AB9 and then attech to the plywood board I now use with my VKB spring base+extension. I don't see that Moza has considered that kind of setup need.

Or curious pets either. I can imagine a kitten getting a paw pinched badly while the user is in blinded in VR. I think I saw somebody on YouTube had 3D printed some belt guards. And just to keep it clean also, mounted as low as it must be.

I agree with you on these points. But I think the big difference is that development starts with smart people, who really care about the product and delivering a really great experience! There are tons of examples, video games, movies, etc...
Then, unfortunately, come the shareholders and their (exclusively?) financial visions.

The wooden rhino is more rigid than a PETG-CF. So I don’t assume it is inferior to any other material than perhaps a full metal construction.

A principle in mechanical design is "as rigid as necessary, as light as possible". 3D-prints (PLA, PETG - not even CF) and wood, both fullfill this in case of the Rhino. Using metal is just a matter of design and perhaps manufacturing price.
