Agnome rn has better nvidia compatibility plasma 6 is plagued with nvidia bugs and glitches so nah atleast not yet

VMy 11 year old laptop is perfect on wayland
Aas much as i dislike libadwaita gnome team does wonderful work on wayland support because of how widely used it is
Ghonestly nvidia wyland has been fine for me as of the last couple drivers on gnome

VYeah I'm just not the biggest fan of Libadwaita. Qt is pretty good and I'm really liking iced
PI'm on wayland gnome for about 2 years now, and the only issue was on 545 driver
Aif you have 20+ series you get access to the kernel open drivers but im stuck on a 1650 with proprietary drivers that suck with plasma
VCosmic app store is so good, got jorge to try it yesterday. Once it's ready for it I think we could replace discover/software with it.

VGNOME software is ok, Discover is just terrible, Cosmic App Store is actually fast

Pi dont actually think the stuff they do for poop os is justified by it being shipped on consumer hardware
AFor a while they did the best job of providing nvidia drivers on new installs, but all the mainstream distros do that now
AThat's why they became the 'gaming distro' for a few years
GI know it was a long time ago and we shouldn't relitigate that whole nightmare, but when i was first deciding on switching to linux at the start of summer, I'm sure the linus tech tips video lurking in the back of my mind was a factor in me not wanting to go pop-os
