the only thing that weirded me out abou that series is that he builds PCs daily, and when you do that you take your time, do your research, etc. Using a lot of distros is similar to building your own PC where you need to research solutions to things carefully because you have the power to break things. So they could have gone in with a bit more of that mindset. But otherwise I think that kind of panicked floundering is completely fair imo
