That is really odd. Is that for that particular television's EDID and info? My second and third monitors both run just fine at 60hz both on Bazzite and Windows.

Not that I am aware of. All of my displays are running with either 100% or 150% scaling if I recall. I do have three screens (1440p180hzFALD, 4k60, 1080p60.) but haven't really done much testing. Currently using Windows right now but I can switch over to Bazzite later.

What I'm saying is we don't apply any defaults to the display, game scope and KDE do what they do to figure out what your monitor is capable of

Like if you have found a problem here and needed a fix, you would be opening an issue against KDE kWin or against GameScope

The only place that's different is on a handheld where we customize the internal display settings under the GameScope session

ok this is starting to look really familiar

rebooted back into bazzite without disconnecting the dock
dock now reports 4k60 but it's actually capping out at 50
went into desktop mode to check, yep 50, can not set 60
jumped back to game mode, some graphics glitching stayed on screen, tested a game to confirm 50hz cap
disconnected HDMI cable and reattached, now the display is actually running 4k60

the difference?
DP1.2 vs DP1.4
display link was stuck at DP1.2 until recon the cable, then it switched to DP1.4
Steam Deck was having the same issue a year ago
no idea what was done to fix that but it's no longer an issue
