Gmy fix was either use desktop mode to do remote play or opt into steam deck beta to use it in gaming mode
AThe controller bugging out while disconnecting or remote play

ABut there is a issue with remote play not working with friends ? Is that controller related or something I'm missing

I do have an issue where if you need to connect a new controller while in game proton wont pick it up so I would have to reboot, iirc if the controiller disconnects then reconnects mid-game the inpuit comes back anyway iirc. So seperate
my main gripe was remote play together which I guess instead of trying to explain again i would advice seeing Steam remote play (together) crashes bazzite upon the join of a player in gaming mode
