IRechunk should treat the files within the flatpak-readonlyroot managed installation the same as other files, so the benefit would apply here too
IIt might be possible to setup an overlay that either overwrites on update or performs a 3-way merge.
II also like brew, but much software is packaged as Mac-only (Zed) or is packaged in a way that is difficult to work with on Linux (gtk4)
Jzed works fine in linux with their instructions, I followed the instructions on their website and it worked great.
