Dash camera is more or less like an normal CineCamera, but it has some more features. After an UE restart you have to select to pilot it again through the Perspective button in top left of UE

Awesome to hear that!
Not sure if you tried 1.7 or 1.8 Beta, but with the AI assistant and our WIP documentation in 1.8 beta, I would say it is even easier to learn

Could you try to uninstall Dash, then install it at a path where you don't have special characters

Dumb Question as I'm quite new to dash. Terrain vs Landscape. Are there any benefits between one or the other or just different use cases (landscapes can be sculpted as one example)?

What Dash version are you on? The 1.7.1 version from the website or the 1.8 beta?

If you are on 1.7.1, you should select the road and then you will see this icon up in Dash, clicking that will let you re-open the tool. Does this work for you?

Awesome! Btw, this goes for more or less all tools, if you select the output/result in the level, you can click that icon to open whatever you have selected

Hi. A question regarding searching assets by tags. If i type the entire tag name in the search bar it gives me no results. It would be great if it was possible to combine tags in a search. For example, I would like to search for european trees. I have a tag "Tree" and "Europe", but i currently can't search both.

Hi guys,

How is the best way to handle backing up the Dash Content Library (Computed/Tagged Assets)?

I have to install a new SSD as my main Windows drive, so I will re-install Unreal and Dash in this new Windows instalation in this new SSD.

I don't want to lose the Library Assets that are already Computed/Tagged (and some manually tagged by me afterwards) because we now have the Tag Limits and I've already computed a lot of assets.

The Dash Content Library Folder (Library Path) is in my secondary Drive (D:).

So, if:

- I install new Windows in new SSD
- Re-install Unreal and Dash in the new Windows
- Put the Dash Content Library Path in this new Dash installation for my already computed Library Folder in D: (that will remain unchanged)

That will work? Is the better process to achieve this backup behavior?

P.S.: The Unreal project itself will be the same, but the project itself I will restore from Git.

Hey! Soo, you have two options for using Path Scatter, or Surface scatter for that matter.
1. Select your curve, select one or several assets from the Dash content library and drag them in while holding CTRL, then select scatter on selection, that will create a path Scatter for you. This options also places the original assets in the world, but they are default hidden. Right now we need to do this, even though it is a little bit wasteful yes, we are looking into solving it though

2. You search for Path Scatter in Dash, open it up and then assign curve and objects that exists inside the world already.

So no difference performance wise right now, it is more of a workflow option. And as you say, deleting the curve, or the original objects in the scene, will break the tool connection yes
