Is there more information about the likelihood of an account recovery attempt failing?

Hi, most people here are trying to get help with recovering their accounts, so I'd like to know if there is any critical information that is required?
For example, questions 1-5, 8-12 and 14 are the bare minimum and must be filled in.
Many of them ask for information from the last 6 months.

This leads me to the question: am I right in assuming that recovery will not be possible if this period is exceeded?

If recovery is still possible, what exactly needs to be provided? At the moment, I feel that staff do not see this as a serious responsibility, nor do they want to get involved, and are redirecting people to reddit, which is not helping people who are already struggling with basic app interactions, as many posts show that they are completely lost when trying to get help on reddit. I believe this attempt will cause many to give up in frustration and never really get an answer.

With clear boundaries, it would be much easier for community members to help these people by giving them clear information and not raising false hopes. Another benefit would be to free up staff to focus on more important tasks.

I'm not a staff but in my opinion, the staff here in the server are unable to help with account recovery because they do not work directly for Tencent/the game. They mainly help manage the community to prevent chaos from descending, creating community engagement (like events). Perhaps only Error is actually able to do anything because she is employed by the company. Everyone else is mainly a volunteer who assists Error in keeping this community safe.

Think of the Staff here is a middleman. They help players because they care for the game/community, but have little power/involvement into the actual game mechanics, development, and account recovery. They can provide the information/instructions on how u can get help to recover an account, but not actually investigate and recover accounts

I understand your concern, the staff here are trying, but it is still very unclear as to what is going on. If this was a small community run discord server then I would totally understand the redirecting of requests but on the official discord server with over 650000 members. It feels cheap, and I don't want to talk about the experience on reddit because it's far worse as many people asking for help have never heard of reddit or the even more confusing way to get reddit charisma - so without it they are unable to post their support ticket.

Not to mention the fact that the actual in-game support form feel like it was built 5 years ago and left in that state. Not much explanation, long lists that are hard to navigate... After going through it, I was left with more questions than answers, which is quite worrying considering there are a lot of people looking for support.

On one hand, it's difficult to discern liars and scammers, on the other hand, ppl who violated TOS will likely never get their acc back (but it doesn't hurt to try, just unlikely)

The sad part is that I'm not even talking about the potential scammers abusing the system, I want an instruction as to what is needed to get a recovery chance. Currently it is between "yes your recovery could be done just ask reddit" and "no, only if its within the last 6 months"... it always depends on who you ask and that does not seem helpful at all. If I were in that situation, I would rather not waste time when it is already clear that recovery is impossible, but not told to me due to an unclear system.

For example, take a look at this screenshot question 9-12, how would you interpret "In the last 6 months"? There is no field in the answer field that says it was out of range. This tells me that it is not possible to provide the necessary information. Now the tricky question, does this mean my recovery attempt fails? Who knows. That's the frustrating part.

I really like your approach, but it still leaves me with the same question: "Is recovery after 6 months really possible?" because of the 12 questions (excluding 1, 14 and 15: can you log in, new email and any other information) 7 are still marked with asterisks and are required.

The problem starts with the fact that 5 of these 7 questions specifically ask for the time within 6 months and don't offer a way to select that the last time played was outside that period (the exception is question 12, as there is only a yes or no answer, but that still seems wrong given the context).

Perhaps this helps to understand the problem I see at the moment. Why make questions that are heavily focused on the last 6 months mandatory, with no way to select "No, I haven't played in the last 6 months"?

This leads me to conclude that recovery is not possible without having played at least one classic match within 6 months.

Do you imply a user should lie in these 5 of 7 questions? There is no option to continue without and no option to select a fitting answer when outside the 6 month period.
