Why key-value data storage is so expensive comparing to other resources? KV read price - $0.50/mill

Why key-value data storage is so expensive comparing to other resources?

KV read price - $0.50/million
Durable objects (that sounds a lot more complex, "permanent" and expensive) - $0.15/million
D1 database - $0.001 / million rows reads

Why everything else, where I can store some data is cheaper? Isn't kv - a cheap, temporary, cache storage?
